i have no idea what i was going to call this...

man. i haven't posted a blog in a long time, so it es without saying that i HAD a lot of things to write about. had, is the operative term here, seeing as i can't remember any of it except the parts that my sister strictly forbid me to write. :P so, i'll just talk about yesterday and today. lets see...uummm...nevermind, i'll just tell about today. i didn't think that it was going to turn out that great, because i was supposed to walk to the bus stop. that meant getting up at 5, and leaving at 5:45 to walk a bit more than a mile. round about 5:30, buddy started going berzerk, barking all over the place. i didn't think it was that odd, because he does that all the time. a couple minutes later, i realized that someone was knocking at the living room door. i freaked me out, because it was dark, and i was the only one home. eek. so i looked outside, and it was our neighbor, one of the dads from CP. he had come to offer me a ride to the bus stop. it was awesome, because it gave me a bit of much needed extra time(i had just gotten out of the shower). i got on the bus first (mine is the first stop on the route) which meant that i got the seat with the most leg space. one of my friends who got on at the next stop got all mad at me for taking "his seat" but i'm sure he'll get over it.
school was awesome. Bel Canto was first, and we heard some of the songs done that we were doing, but by a different choir. it sounded awesome, especially the guy's parts. english, we got assigned this awesome story. we had to re-write a fairy tale, from someone else's point of view. i'll post mine after this. i love it. it's funny. math was boring. of course. it always is.
now, french, french was hilarious. i sit behind this guy named lawrence. he has quite a reputation. one time he literally fell through the door just as the late bell rang, earning lots of laughter from the class, and the teacher said "Ah! Dramatique!" that was hilarious. but anyway, that didnt' happen today. today, he decided to try to sleep, but at a bad time. he had just dozed off with his hood over his head when the teacher told he and me to practice a bit of conversation. i had to ask him what color his eyes were, then he would answer, and ask me back. when mme clark called his name, it took him a while to wake up, so everyone laughed a bit at that, but when he woke up all the way, he had no idea what he was supposed to do, so he had this look like a deer in the headlights of a very large truck. so, i cracked up, and couldn't very well calm down long enough to concentrate and ask the question. then, he couldn't figure out why i was laughing, so it took a lot of time for our turn to be over. he tried to go back to sleep after that, but it didn't work. the teacher caught him that time.
Bio, we had to take a bunch of notes, which wasn't too bad, but i found out that i got a hundred on my last quiz. yay.
one last good thing, i was on the bus, as it was loading up to go home, and all of a sudden, katherine pointed out the window, where one of our friend's mom's was standing (looking for her daughter). because i didn't want to ride the bus, i jokingly yelled out the window for her to "take me with you!" then my mo showed up. even better. so i didn't have to ride it home, and i got there an hour early. we took katherine too, and when we went to drop her off at the restaraunt, i got to get a shake. very nummy. i had to eat it fast though, before we picked up steph, so that she wouldn't be jealous.
i found out today after my voice/piano lessons that steph and i get to go up to oregon this weekend to see shawna. i haven't gotten to see her place yet. she needs to get a piano though. i get piano withdrawal. it's pretty much a drug for me. hehe.
that's all for now, folks.

the not-so-much-joys of sickness

i'm not even really sure if there are any joys of sickness, other than the fact that you don't have to go to school. of course, that's not always a good thing, either, because it's only the third week of school, and i missed the monday that a whole bunck of stuff was due, and a lab was being done in biology. so (lucky me) i get to make it all up today, and it's all thanks to the not-so-much-joys of sickness. Yesterday really wasn't all to bad though. i got to stay at home and do nothing. i went on msn a few times, but (because everyone was in school) no one was online. and that, ladies and gents, is one of the many not-so-much-joys of not being sick.you have to go to school. haha. i didn't.

i just dread the day that i return to school after being sick for a while. everyone always asks, "why were you gone?" and my personal unfavorite, "were you sick?". "nah, i just felt like sneezing and coughing all day. the rip-roaring headache was just a pleasant side effect." the worst part about it is, all of my friends are in different classes, so i get to go through it at least 7 times, maybe more, if my ever-so-concerned teachers didn't catch it the first time around. it drives me nuts.

anyway, i have to go. back to the dreaded first-day-back-after-being-sick-during-which-i-get-asked-a-bunch-of-stupid-questions-that-would-qualify-for-jeff-foxworthy's-here's-your-sign-jokes. (that's a really long name). so goodbye, my fair people, i shall see you again, some other time. and if any of you ask if i was sick, i shall, in the wise words of my sister, take offence. i shall take a fence and hit you with it!

that is all i have to say on this subject. bye now

Comfy high heels (is that an oxymoron?)
Current mood: tired
Category: Life

today i decided that i would wear a pair of heels to school. i wouldn't have even considered it, if they hadn't been pretty comfortable (not to mention, they were rainbow-y. they rock). so, we headed off to the bus stop, and at the end of the road, we realized that i had forgotten an assignment. so we headed back home, and stayed there for a half hour. (it's pretty much a duh that i didn't have to take the bus)while i was there, i found a few more things that i needed. i was realy glad that we had gone home in the first place (even though it turned out that the origional assignment didn't HAVE to be turned in that day.) so we headed off to school once more, with me stressing out the whole time, because we had left 10 minutes late, and that meant that we would get caught in the BAD traffic. we made it on time, thankfully.

my first class of the day was Bel Canto, and when i got there, i found out that Baggot wasn't going to be there. we had a sub, and since subs can't really direct a good choir, we had social hour. it was awesome. i went up and asked the pianist if i could play it for a while. she said yes, if i auditioned. (they just didn't want plunkers playing) i passed. yay. so i got to play. the first song i did was a really fast march, and when i was done, everyone clapped. a lot. it was spiffy. i played a few more, and got more applause after rootbeer rag. i wasn't really expecting it when Ashley (who was sitting next to me on the bench) screamed the whole woo-hoo thingy right in my ear. i'll let you know when my hearing comes back.

anyway, so back to my day on heels. it actually wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. i had brought a pair of flops just in case i needed them. since it turned out that i didn't, i left them in my locker, and promptly forgot they were there, until i got off at my bus stop and realized that i had to walk about 2 miles with no shoes other than the ones i was wearing. my feet sure told me what they thought about that when they got home. nothing but gripes. really, some feet are just so ungrateful. at least they had shoes! in some cases though, the rest of my body agreed with my feet. it had to re-balance itself every time my feet stepped on a piece of gravel (which was most of the time, because we were walking along gravel roads 90% of the time), and it got rather hard after the first ten steps or so. so with two pieces of my body against me in this case, it's pretty hard to not agree with them. yes, walking home in heels stunk. but hey, it was a workout. i'm not sure whether to be happy or sad about that. i know my muscles didn't like it much. man! my whole body is against me!

ahebedahebedahebeda (i have no idea how to spell that) that's all folks!

Wierd Trace Adkins

I'm watching this show, called CMA somethin'r'nother, and they had Trace Adkins on there, and they were just asking him questions that they had gotten from the audience. One of them was asking if having kids had caused him to find some feminimity in himself, and he said something along the lies of "Well, you know those feminine things...you stick them up here on your forehead, and they catch the sweat real good. Ya, you just stick them in your hat when you go outside, and you're good all day!" I just cracked up. It was the funniest thing i've ever heard.

an awesome weekend

I actually managed to get thursday and friday off, so i went with mom and steph to see my kirstyn in SLO.we drove out at 9 (we were trying for 8, but it didn't end up working out that way) and got there around 3 or 4. a couple hours later, the Bartons got back from the beach. we hung around for the rest of the evening, and ate supper. david something-or-another, and kyle and kimbria i-can't-spell-their-last-name got there from oregon around 11. the next morning aunt sharon, allison, chantal, sierra, me, phoebe, trevor, david, kyle, and kimbria went to knotts berry farm. there, we met some second cousins i didn't even know that we had, brandon and corey. one of their relatives (eston something) was with them. we stayed until 10, then went to a hotel for the night, 'cause aunt sharon didn't think that she could drive that late. it took us a while too get there, and we were all starving by then, so eston called in for 3 extra large pizza's and about 20 sodas, but they didnt get there 'till midnight, so we amused ourselves by playing haha. i was laying on chantal, who was laying on corey, who was laying on david, who was laying on me. it was hilarious. we spent half an hour just cracking up. we went back the next day, but got stuck in traffic for 3 hours, so we didn't get home until 5. we went to the beach and got all soaked and sandy, then cleaned up and went to a barbeque at one of the Friend's houses. it turned into a sing when kirk started to play the piano, but that meant that i didn't get to. gah. :P.

kirk and steph got on the train to go to montana this morning, and about an hour ago, we found out that their train ran into a semi. how does that happen? really what would a semi be doing on the railroad tracks? hehe. it was apparently in an intersection or something, and no one was hurt, but it still makes a wacky story. hehe.
cheerio for now

Work and all it's lack of busy-ness

Showed up and work today...turns out that there weren't any peaches to be packed, so Chris didn't actually need me there. That meant, that there would be no sweeping of the shed, no gathering of the partials from the cold box, and no packing peaches (duh), which were all a part of my usual day to day activities. So I spent until one just figuring out things to do, which is just as hard as working sometimes, especially when you have to hunt down someone to tell you what to do. The hunting down part was never very hard, because everyone was always in the farmstand, helping customers, or passing off talking as restocking the 6 pound baskets, or something. Through the day, i packed dry peaches, cleaned out the cider shed (where we take our breaks), and mopped it, which was absolutely gross, i might add. There was a coat of dust over the whole floor, so within two rinsings, the water was just brown. i ended up just hosing the whole place down. it worked pretty well.

While we were packing peaches, (we meaning annie and i)rosie decided to do some of the dishes that were left in the sink a while back. it mostly consistedof coffee mugs that the high and mighty guys didn't want to do, and water bottles, that, again, the guys didn't want to take care of.one of the water bottles she had to take care of was clear plastic, and it had an unidentifiable pink liquid in it. the second that she opened it and started to pour it down the sink, rosie ran outside gasping, while annie and i sat there wondering what had happened. rosie came in a minute later, and asked us if we smelled it. neither of us had, which was the apparent reason we were still sitting in our seats, undisturbed. ten seconds afterward, we were all three outside, breathing in fresh air, and trying to get the smell of rancid meat out of our noses. it was absolutely foul. we spent ten more minutes trying to get rid of the smell. by the time we were able to get back to work, half a bottle of 409, a third of a box of baking soda, the rest of a bottle of vinegar, and a ton of lemon juice had been dumped down the drain, it was all in vain, though, and we ended up with a fan in the open doorway, to tempt the stench outside. it seriously smelled like someone had unplugged a freezer full of meat for a week. and to think, it was all because of an inch and a half of pink liquid in the bottom of some person's watebottle. eew. from then on, whenever someone came to the door, se would ask them if they regognized the bottle, and knew the owner. no one did, but we still have a lot of people to interrogate, because only half of the employees were there. i think that the owner should have to suffer dire consequences. :P

I finished HP7 today. mom and steph were really surprised, because it only took me 2 hours to read the second half. granted, it took me way longer to get through the first part, but that was because steph wanted to read it at the same times i did. over all, i didn't like it as much as the rest of them. there was way too much fighting in it from the very beginning, and too many people died. (if you haven't read the book yet, just be glad that i haven't given out many details) so ya. definately not my favorite. i just think that JKR shouldwrite another book about the lives of everone after the war. i would love that.

The Beginning

Well, this is The Beginning. The beginning of The Blog That is Wonderfully Entertaining. At least that is my goal. I like to be amusing, and to be amused. Amusement is neither over or underrated. it just is. It makes me happy, which is a fat lot easier than just being mad all the time. To be mad you have to have a reason, but you don't have to have one to be happy. Heck, I was happy today when we started getting some really big peaches from the orchard.

Anyway, I decided that i was going to start a blog outside of myspace, because half of my friends/cousins/relatives don't have a myspace, and therefore, can't read my blog. The only reason i write in blogs is because i want people to read it. That, and it's a way to tell people about my boredom. That is going to happen a lot. Be warned. I just hope i can figure out how to get my earlier blogs from myspace to here. I will keep writing in my blog on myspace, but i'll probably just copy and paste it from here when i do, so u don't really have to read both, unless you like to be repetitive. hehe. It's just peachy with me.

I'm gonna stop writing for now, and try to figure out how to get some of my blogs from myspace to here, so ta ta for now.
